Not all that bad

It's been a long, dry spell since my
last hunting update.  That's because
January was a long dry spell.  We
hunted hard, but had continuing
equipment failures and fewer
and fewer birds to shoot at.

The surprising thing was that
when I tallied everything up,
this year was tied with 07-08 (62
ducks).  The years in between
were not that good.  We also
have really put a hurting on
the snipe (39).  So it's not
a complete disaster.
